The three weekend session are:

  • Nov 19-20 Truro Middle School (formely Truro Jr High) Map
  • Updated! April 1-3 NSCC Waterfront Campus, Dartmouth Map
  • Updated! Apr 29-May 1 St Francis Xavier University, Antigonish (Map)

Covid: you must be must be age 12 or older to register and must provide proof of full vaccination to attend.


$300.00 ($100.00 a weekend)


  • three weekends of exceptional jazz education with outstanding players and educators
  • lunch on Saturdays
  • Honour Jazz T-shirt custom designed by NSCC students

Fee Policy – all cheques are payable to Nova Scotia Honour Jazz:

  • two or more family members in NSHJ
    • First child $300
    • Additional family members $150 each
  • Payment Plan: Full payment for the year is now due at the first session. If this is a problem please contact us to make alternate arrangements.

NEW Attendance and Refunds:

  • A refund of $50 will be issued for missed sessions provided NSHJ receives notice of the absence at least 10 days before the session. 
  • Refunds for missed sessions with less than 10 day notice will be made only under exceptional circumstances.
  • If a schedule conflict is communicated at the time of registration (i.e. before Nov 10) no fees will be collected for the session which will be missed.

  • Every effort has been made to accommodate the NSYWE, NSJWE, and NSYO rehearsal and performance schedules as well as high school musicals and local music festivals however some overlap is inevitable.
  • All Honour Jazz correspondence will be by email, unless otherwise requested. Please ensure accurate and legible email address on your registration form.
  • Rhythm section players are asked to provide their own equipment for each weekend.
  • First year university students may be asked to fill in specific positions as required by staff.
