Dates

The three weekend sessions are:

  • Nov 14-16 Truro Middle School, Truro Map
  • Jan 16-18 NSCC Waterfront Campus, Dartmouth Map
  • Mar 6-8 Francis Xavier University, Antigonish (Map)

NSHJ Fees: $300.00

Includes:

  • three weekends of exceptional jazz education with outstanding players and educators
  • lunch on Saturdays
  • Honour Jazz T-shirt custom designed by NSCC students

Payment can be made by e-transfer to novascotiahonourjazz@gmail.com. Alternatively, we can take cash or a cheque payable to “Nova Scotia Honour Jazz”

Family Discount:

  • two or more family members in NSHJ
    • First child $300
    • Additional family members $150 each

Payment Plan:

Full payment for the year is due by the first session.  If this is a problem please contact us to make alternate arrangements.

Attendance and Refunds:

  • A refund of $50 will be issued for missed sessions provided NSHJ receives notice of the absence at least 10 days before the session. 
  • Refunds for missed sessions with less than 10-day notice will be made only under exceptional circumstances.
  • If a schedule conflict is communicated at the time of registration no fees will be collected for the session which will be missed.

Miscellaneous

  • Every effort has been made to accommodate the NSYWE, NSJWE, and NSYO rehearsal and performance schedules as well as high school musicals and local music festivals however some overlap is inevitable.
  • All Honour Jazz correspondence will be by email unless otherwise requested.
  • Rhythm section players are asked to provide their own equipment for each weekend.
  • First-year university students may be asked to fill in specific positions as required by staff.
